My word of the year: DISCOVER

The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.
— Marcel Proust

My prayer for this year is that it would be one of discovery

of learning more about who God is, who I am, and who I am in Him

of diving deeper into Scripture with intentionality

of exploring my city and the world around me

of trying new things and being open to new possibilities

of saying yes to things that scare me

of staying curious and asking questions

of choosing joy and chasing fun

of reading widely and deeply

of taking healthy risks

of seeking, trying, learning, growing, healing, hoping, creating, loving, laughing, resting, stretching, strengthening, and so much more.

We begin to find and become ourselves when we notice how we are already found, already truly, entirely, wildly, messily, marvelously who we were born to be.
— Anne Lamott

I cannot wait to see what this year brings to light within me, around me, and through me, all with the hopes that I may see Him more clearly.

ps— I get my word of the year engraved on a ring from this Etsy shop, and it’s the best daily reminder!

My PowerSheets Goals:

I am on a journey of discovery.

I am growing and evolving in my faith.

I am pursuing financial freedom.

I am using my words to glorify, unify, and edify.

I am letting people in and loving others well.

I am caring for and celebrating my body.

I am choosing joy and chasing fun.

My vision board:

My Bible reading plan:

I’m starting this year by studying the New Testament in 90 days, using this Bible Study Tools plan on the app as a way of tracking my progress! I’m using this parallel Bible (it has NIV, NLT, NKJV, and The Message all side by side!) and this incredible Women’s Bible Commentary that takes a fresh look at Scripture through a feminist perspective, highlighting women in ways I’ve never seen before (AMEN, amiright). I’m excited about it!

My 2019 Reading Challenge:

This year, I created my own reading challenge for the year, and I’m so excited about it! If you want to join me for A RAD Reading Challenge, you can download the free printable here, or find more on my bookstagram here!
