BLOG-TEMBER: A Moodboard

As someone who spends so much of life creating, I'm constantly seeking inspiration. I'm the one scribbling lyrics in my journal or writing down words I find beautiful or stopping to take a picture of something as I walk or even tearing up as I read powerful words... I'm moved by the beauty around me and it pushes me to make beautiful things myself.

If you've seen pictures of my room or my cubicle, you'll know I surround myself with art of all kinds for that same reason-- seeing art encourages me to make art.

This moodboard today is the same kind of thing. As I was browsing on Pinterest, the same kinds of images were standing out to me, and I realized it's because they seemed to embody this certain kind of living and being that I'm craving right now.

Still. Serene. Peaceful. Gentle. Patient. Kind. Self-care. Compassionate. Relaxed. At ease. Graceful.

This is what's inspiring me lately:

Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don’t worry about missing out. You’ll find all your everyday human concerns will be met. Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow.
— Matthew 6:33-34, MSG

and this song

(lyrics below)

Cause I loved you before
you knew what was love
I saw it all
still I chose the cross
you were the one
I was thinking of
when I rose from the grave
now rid of the shackles
my victory is yours
i tore the veil
for you to come close
there’s no reason to stand
at a distance anymore
you’re not far from home
— "Out of Hiding" by Steffany Gretzinger

All throughout September, I'll be joining Bailey in The Blog-tember Challenge!

You probably won't see a post every day from me (although she made excellent prompts for each day this month!) but I'll be joining in often and would love for you to do the same!
